It’s actually Red Onion as the photo of the receipt says, however, the signage on the building says Union. Typo, I suppose, not worth fixing, but it is a conversation starter, so I guess it serves a purpose.

The Red Onion is takeout only and it’s recommended you call ahead if possible. It just so happened that I had to make a delivery nearby around lunchtime and thought….here’s yer sign! I got an order together for my wife, daughter, and I and called it in.

Crinkle fries, loaf bread, and condiments are offered with each Fish order. Slaw isn’t offered as a side, so pick some up along the way if needed.

Their sandwiches are always a good choice, especially the Philly cheesesteak! Loaded with meat, cheese, and your choice of toppings.

What I haven’t tried till now is their catfish filets and whole catfish that was recently added to the menu. WOW, was the first thing I thought when opening up the catfish containers. They were huge!

Both the whole catfish and filets had a beautifully battered golden crust and were well seasoned. It tasted to me like seasoning salt was added, or a good mix of salt and pepper. Either way, it was delicious.

The catfish filets were generously sized and packed with delicious white meat. The whole catfish is a recent addition to the menu. I opted for a three-piece serving and found the quality, portion size, and taste to be very satisfying.

Everyone’s taste is different, so my goal is to give you a glimpse of what I see and experience so you can judge for yourselves, and decide if the atmosphere and menu are right for you. So when you visit, be sure to tell the crew I recommended you. Happy Trails!!
