46th Annual Gumtree Fine Arts Festival

This year’s 46th Annual Gumtree Fine Arts Festival was an awesome event packed with food, fun, music, fine arts and crafts from venders locally and nationwide.

Centered around the historic courthouse square in Tupelo, this Mother’s Day weekend festival has become a must attend event for myself and thousands of others every year!

Not only can you find, one of a kind hand crafted gifts, you also have the opportunity to interact with the best artist and artisans in the region.

The Spring Street GumBash concert featuring “Mississippi Stomp” and John West was an after hours event in conjunction with the festival.

With moonlight covering the streets of downtown and music filling the air, it was the perfect end to a full day.

The outside concert allowed Festival goers to kick back and relax while enjoying some great music and good times with friends and neighbors.

The FESTIVAL FOODS included some of Tupelo’s BEST restaurants & food trucks set up to offer their FAMOUS flavors!

Neon Pig was on location offering up their Award winning Smash Burgers and Salmon Tacos. These Folks work in conjunction with many area restaurants, including KOK and the Blue Canoe, to keep foods fresh and local.

Set up in the tent next door to Neon Pig was Native Son Farm, serving up strawberry Shortcake with a creamy filling that was out of this world!

Also, for a little “Local” flavor on the go, I got to check out Local Mobile, A Little Taste of Chicago, and others!

Finding these folks parked out and about during lunch time, is like a kid getting excited over the ice cream man rolling by. Yeah, they’re that good!

Local Mobile had a Hawaiian inspired dish called the Maui Wowie. Half a pineapple loaded with plump shrimp, coleslaw, and rice, then drizzled with some yummy sauce! Wowie is right!

Hot on the local scene and popping up everywhere these days is Popsy Popsicle stands and local distributors carrying Popsy Popsicles! I can’t resist their hand-crafted pops made with fresh fruit and local ingredients!

There was so much entertainment and venders to explore, two days barely contain all the wonders available in this jam packed awesome event!

From youth performers, singer songwriter competition, art market, and more, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Our All American City and growing community is filed with some of the most interesting, and fun loving folks around. Full of creativity, innovation, and artful expression.

Gumtree to me, is about being an individual. You’re one of a kind. Express yourself and shine for others to see and appreciate.

The Gumtree Fine Arts Festival is an easy going, fun event for the whole family. Stroll around the historic courthouse square and check out all the original artwork and vendors.

Plus, eat some great food and enjoy some live local entertainment. There is always plenty to enjoy from the traditional, to a few new additions. See y’all next time!
