When your restaurant is called King Chicken, in the stomping grounds where Elvis grew up, then you better show up and show out! That’s exactly what the folks at the King Chicken Fillin’ Station do every day they’re open!
They are located in the former Belden Grocery and Deli. The Belden Grocery had been a fixture in the small community for decades. But now provide some of the South’s most mouthwatering chicken, burgers, fish, and more!

I didn’t ask the owner how they seasoned their delicious fried chicken, but I savored every bite of the half-bird! Its crust was crispy, and its beautiful meat was tender and juicy. Their bone in chicken is sure to satisfy most craving!
When it comes to choosing a side dish, it’s tough to make a bad decision. However, during my recent visit, I opted for the baked beans with hamburger meat and the creamy Mac-n-cheese. I was so impressed with these two sides that I could have easily made a meal out of them alone!
Don’t be fooled by the straightforward menu – the burgers are the real deal. Although only labeled as “Burger” and “Jr. Burger,” the former is a massive, hand-formed, and almost one-pound beef patty. The meat is expertly seasoned and can be customized with your preferred toppings. While I’ve yet to see the “Jr.” version, the “Burger” alone is well worth a try.
Whether you’re craving chicken, burgers, fish, or an early breakfast, you’re sure to get your fill, at king Chicken Fillin’ Station! Happy Trails!!
