Omar’s has been a part of the community for over a decade. Although it was recently sold, its new owners Sonya & Eddie Bedford, will be serving delicious made from scratch breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items for years to come!

Omar’s was constructed to blend into the country landscape. It has an old store exterior with aged wood and extended front porch. The interior design continues the theme with an eclectic mix of seating up front, plus additional dining rooms for private parties or extra dining space.

Sonya & Eddie bring a wealth of experience and custom creations to the table, while the former owners have entrusted them with some secret spices and flavors that regulars have been enjoying since the restaurant first opened.

Menu showcase:
🔥Fresh Salad Bar – I arrived just as it was finished being set up. There are several things I look for on a salad bar that shows attention to detail and pride in the art of it all. Just a few that I found were freshly boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, bite size pieces of broccoli, and house made salad dressings.

They also make their own “Ranch house” chips that are seasoned, crunchy strips, to top your salads. Its “Ranch house” seasoning is the original owner’s closely guarded secret. However, they entrusted the Bedfords with the recipe so longtime loyal customers may continue to enjoy them.

🔥Fried Mushrooms – Hand breaded with a side of house made ranch. The breading and spices remind me of some really good country fried chicken. Emphasis on crunch breading that helps soak up the creamy ranch sauce. I could have ate these till I was full, but saved some room for the rest of the dinner.

🔥16 once Ribeye – This was one HUGE hunk of delicious meat! The inside was a toasty medium as I requested, with its spices leaving a nice charred exterior with plenty of flavor.

🔥Ribs – They have a smoker out back that is used to create tender ribs with plenty of juicy meat and saturated with the owner’s secret seasoning and smoky flavors.

🔥Fried whole & filet Catfish – both had a unique crispy crust and were seasoned well. I always keep some fresh lemon nearby to drizzle over my fish for a little zing and just a dab of the house ranch for dipping is all I needed to make each bite perfectly delicious!

🍰 Dessert – Locally made Strawberry cake, original cheesecake, Turtle Cheesecake. Mouthwatering is the first word that comes to mind!

The cake had three layers that were not only moist, but soaked in flavor to match the fragrance of its strawberry frosting.

The buttery caramel, smooth chocolate and crunchy pecan chips atop the custom made Turtle Cheesecake was absolutely sultry! It was so rich and satisfying, that every time I look at its photo, I long for the taste of it. NOW, if that’s not sultry, I don’t know what is! LOL

Although I had a good sampling of the deliciousness that is created in their kitchen, there’s a whole lot more to explore on the menu. You can also get an early start on your day and indulge yourself with some breakfast or lunch specials.

Owner’s Sonya & Eddie have leased/managed other restaurants, but wanted to have their own place, lock, stock, and barrel. With Omar’s Steak & Fish they have found their new home and invited y’all to come out and let some country folks serve you some good food! Happy Trails !!
