Farmington is a rural community just east of the city of Corinth Mississippi with a population of approximately 3,000 residents. There you’ll discover many family friendly outdoor activities, plenty of fresh air, open skies, and room to grow.

One thing lacking was a reliable restaurant that could provide locals with a delicious lunch or dinner daily. Seeing this void, local business leader Reid Bostick and his team opened POP’s restaurant.

Named after Reid’s grandfather, POP’S was designed to cultivate a warm atmosphere that encourages community involvement, family, and a relaxed environment for you to enjoy your meal.

As a locally owned and operated restaurant, the menu can evolve to accommodate the needs and cravings of their customers with seasonal specials and new items added regularly.

Menu showcase:

  • Farmington Pizza
  • Bear Burger
  • Cornbread Salad
  • House fried chips
  • Deep fried Beignets

The centerpiece of the restaurant is a wood-fired pizza oven that produces a unique smoky flavor and a crispy exterior crust. This form of baking can be traced back to ancient Italy and has become increasingly popular in the United States.

POP’S most requested specialty pizza is the Farmington. It’s topped with pepperoni, sausage, ground Beef, Canadian bacon, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, olives, and tomato. All of my ingredients were fresh, and the pizza’s overall taste was a savory symphony of flavors that melded together perfectly!

The Bear Burger is POP’S version of a smash burger made with fresh ground beef and your choice of toppings. Buns are heated and patties are cooked on a flat top grill, then loaded with your choice of toppings and sauces. For my first Bear Burger I simply went with cheese, tomato, and pickles. The burger patties were lightly seasoned and the use of 2 thin pattie’s provided ample surface area for the delicious char flavors to emerge.

With all the available ingredients, you can enjoy a fully customized salad topped with their homemade dressings. I ordered the cornbread salad that had a layer of crumbled cornbread, beans, homemade ranch dressing, my choice of veggies, with more homemade ranch dressing on top. This is one of POP’S most requested salads and I can definitely taste why!!

The homemade fried chips are a nice appetizer and pair well with a fresh burger. They are well seasoned and can be eaten as is, or use some homemade dressing as a dip.

For dessert, you can have some dip ice cream or choose a specialty sweet treat off the menu. The crew is always coming up with something new, and during my visit they were rolling out fresh made deep fried beignets with powdered sugar and chocolate dipping sauce.

With any powdered sugar treat, you may end up looking like you just came in from the snow if you’re not careful. But the rich combination of flavors is so worth it!! Just sit back, relax, and savor the experience.

Small town restaurants offer more than nourishment; they provide a gathering place where friends and neighbors can meet for an enjoyable meal and take comfort in the familiar faces of their fellow diners.

Owner Reid Bostick says, “At POP’S, we pride ourselves on our friendly service and serving only the freshest ingredients. From our daily-made pizza dough to our hand-packed, unfrozen beef burgers. We believe that the community we serve deserves the very best and we fully appreciate their continued support.“

Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, you’ll feel right at home at POP’S. Visit soon and tell the crew that I recommend you! Happy Trails!!
