Rafters is the place to be if you’re looking for an all inclusive night of fun, food, and local entertainment near Downtown New Albany! For those wanting to explore the menu in a laid back atmosphere, drop by early for their Casual Cajun cuisine, daily plate lunch specials, and signature cocktails.

If you’re visiting Rafters for the first time, don’t worry about getting lost – trust your GPS to lead you there. The venue is located just off the main road, next to the local package store. Once inside, you’ll find plenty of seating, a fully stocked bar, and a spacious stage for live performances. The hardwood finishes throughout the interior will help soothe your senses. If you want to enjoy the outdoors, Rafters has an open-air covered patio up front, as well as a more secluded enclosed back patio for extra space.

I polled many of the restaurant’s customers before ordering, and came up with the list below of all time menu favorites from Rafters in New Albany.

Menu showcase:
🔥Zydeco Shrimp – Grilled shrimp smothered in Rafters’ signature Zydeco sauce. This dish is a treat for the taste buds with its subtle char flavor and tangy sauce that provides a welcomed kick of added flavor.

🔥 Crawfish Rolls – If you’re searching for a scrumptious menu item, the Crawfish Rolls are a must-try. These crispy delights are highly recommended, with each order containing three rolls filled with tender crawfish tails and a creamy sauce. They are then deep-fried to perfection for that golden brown look. Take your taste buds on a journey with the standard spicy dipping sauce, or try the mellow remoulade sauce that is used to create these delectable bites.

🔥Baked Potato Salad – This is a very delicious skin on white potato salad that is creamy, hardy, and definitely savory.

🔥House made Chips – Deep fried slices of house made deliciousness is a pretty accurate description! Perfect as a side to any sandwich or pair with dipping sauce for a great snack-able or appetizer.

🔥 Chaud Poulet Grilled Chicken Sandwich – Both grilled and fried versions were recommended, but grilled took the lead! It’s a gourmet Bun, loaded with a tender filet of grilled chicken, then topped with Pepper Jack Cheese, bacon, pickle, and Rafters Famous Zydeco Sauce. I’d like to experience the fried chicken sometime, but the grilled will be hard to beat!
