I LOVE the weekday lunch buffet at Nautical Whimsey, but when I think of my all time favorite from the Italian Bistro, it’s their Friday evening dinner special.
What I ordered:
🔥12 once Filet Mignon
🔥Italian Baked Potato
🔥Fried Cheese
🍺1817 Brewery Blueberry Wheat Beer
I ❤️ this locally brewed selection from 1817! The fruit flavors were upfront with sweet and sour notes.
With the special, they offer an 8oz or 12oz filet, and either an Italian baked potato or one with crawfish cream sauce.
To start, I ordered the Fried Cheese appetizer. We’re talking six large balls of Mozzarella cheese that’s covered in Italian bread crumbs and fried to a crispy, gooey perfection with a side of dipping sauce.
And don’t be shy, ask for extra sauce if desired. These are perfect to share since one is more than enough for an appetizer.
My Italian baked potato was HUGE! It was drenched with Alfredo sauce and melted mozzarella cheese till it overflowed the entire plate! If you’re not opposed to rich, creamy, ooey-gooey goodness, then this will change your life!
Speaking of life changing, my 12 once filet was prepared medium and soaked in a Balsamic reduction that gave my choice cut a deliciously tangy taste and tender texture.
Y’all, this steak and potato combo is unlike any other I’ve experienced! Yes, I have had many extraordinary steaks from local restaurants, but none quite like this one.
For an unforgettable meal, this dish is a must-try. The combination of flavors and textures create a truly remarkable bucket list experience for your taste buds to enjoy!
