The Warehouse Fish and Steakhouse has been the go to spot in New Albany for food, fun, and social gatherings since 2012. They specialize in Certified Angus hand cut steaks, MIssissippi raised Heartland Catfish, pizza, homemade desserts, and so much more!

The building blends into its surroundings as an actual warehouse, and is ran by a small army of employees of all ages. They have plenty of room to accommodate eating meetings, special events, or just a relaxing meal to celebrate the end of the work week and the beginning of a relaxing weekend with friends and family.

What do their customers love most about The Warehouse? Wellā€¦ just about everything! Theyā€™ve been voted Best Steak, Best Salad, Best Dinner, and Best Restaurant! So when wondering what to order, take your pick! Itā€™s WIN, WIN!!

What I requested:
šŸ”„Filet Mignon 8oz
šŸ”„Whole Catfish
šŸ”„ Catfish Filet
šŸ¤Grilled Shrimp
šŸ„—Salad Bar
šŸ§€Cheesecake

When I arrived, I already knew I was going to order a small assortment of what The Warehouse is known for, which included Certified Angus hand cut steaks. What I hadnā€™t decided was what cut. While I was asking my waitress her recommendation, the lady in the booth next to mine chimed out ā€œGet the Filet.ā€ So, thereā€™s yer sign! The 8oz Filet Mignon prepared medium it is!

Although the 8oz Filet and 20oz ribeye were the same price, weā€™re talking two totally different cuts, texture, and experiences. The Filet Mignon was cut thick, beautifully prepared, seasoned perfectly, and sliced with ease. Plus, every bite was equally delicious without a morsel going to waste.

Although itā€™s not mentioned in the Filetā€™s description, you can request it made ā€œBlack & Blue.ā€ If Iā€™m remembering it wrong, itā€™s close enough theyā€™ll know what you mean. I wanted to experience the original flavor before adding extra, so I requested the ingredients on the side. The additives are simple, but create a huge flavor boost! The ingredients include house made blue cheese dressing, Cajun seasoning, and crunchy bits of real bacon. Lawd Have Mercy!!! I donā€™t know who came up with this idea but BRAVO!!

When available, I always enjoy adding some shrimp to a nice steak dinner and my grilled add on shrimp were perfectly charred, plump and tasty.

Serving Mississippi farm raised Heartland Catfish, you can be assured of your orderā€™s quality and freshness. Both the whole catfish and catfish filets had plenty of crunch and delicious tender white meat. I just added some fresh squeezed lemon and a dab of tartar sauce to each bite for a winning combination!

With any trip to The Warehouse Fish and Steak, three things you should definitely factor into your visit is a trip to their huge salad bar with tons of fresh veggies and homemade dressing, an appetizer to get you geared up for the main course, and leave a little room for some of the homemade deserts!

For my appetizer, I decided on the Sausage and cheese plate. You get two different types of cheese, sliced pepperoncini, pickle spears, and a tall pile of cooked sausage slices. Yā€™all, this cost around $8 and will feed several people as an appetizer. I took most of mine home and the family and I had several more snacks from it!

For my dessert, it was recommended I try the homemade cheesecake. This is the ownerā€™s family recipe, which is absolutely delicious! Itā€™s got a dense texture with a steady subtle flavor. But if cheesecake isnā€™t your thing, then they have a cooler full of fresh made cakes, pies, and more to choose from! Just take your pick and enjoy!

This was a most excellent experience for me! Itā€™s totally family friendly with a rustic country atmosphere, plenty of seating, helpful staff, and a menu full of made from scratch items to choose from! So drop by, have a delicious meal, and tell them I said hi! Happy Trails!!
