Jobos is a Surf & Turf restaurant and bar with a southern twist. Featuring some of the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s freshest seafood in a relaxed setting.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, whether you prefer relaxing at the bar, sipping drinks on the patio, having a cozy night with friends, or organizing a social event in a private dining area.

What I ordered:
🔥 Deepo’s Rosado Hummus – vegetable mezze, warm pita, feta
🔥 Simple Grilled Fish – aji verde potatoes, sofrito salsa, arugula, fresh herbs, basil lime vinaigrette, extra aji verde dipping sauce. (This entree is sold at market price)
🔥 Jumbo Tiger Shrimp Skewer
🔥B.A.M.F. bread pudding by Chef Brock

The bright red bowl of hummus is a great start to any meal, but then I do love hummus with fresh pita bread for dipping. It is also a great conversation starter if you’re dining with a group.

The Simple Grilled Fish has a few options that are interchangeable. For the fish, I could choose salmon or Gulf Red Fish. I went with the latter since the Red Fish was just added. If my memory serves, I believe you could also exchange the arugula for a different salad.

The Red Fish fillet had a delightful flaky texture. The top skin layer is where the seasoning is concentrated. Adjust the saltiness to your preference by choosing to eat or remove all or part of the top layer.

The aji verde potatoes were absolutely delicious! They include extra aji verde sauce for your potatoes or for whatever you decide needs dipping.

The Jumbo Tiger Shrimp were huge! Each was well seasoned and available as an add-on to most any entree.

Although there were only a couple of dessert choices, you really can’t go wrong with either. I’ve always enjoyed bread pudding and Chef Brock’s version leans toward the traditional with a little extra firmness for a perfect slice of heaven.

At Jobos, they add their unique twist to almost every menu item. Keep an eye out for upcoming new menu items that are currently in development!

What are your favorite menu items?

Everyone’s taste is different. My goal is to give you a glimpse of what I see and experience so you can judge for yourselves if the atmosphere and menu are right for you. So when you visit, be sure to tell the crew I recommended you. Happy Trails!!
