It’s been said that some of the finest food in the South can be found at service stations. Well, I don’t know about all of them, but the deli inside the new BP on West Main has definitely been drawing attention.

They offer a hot bar plate with a menu that change daily, ready to purchase fried chicken, and made fresh deli selections.

The Chopped Cheese is ground beef chopped with grilled onions peppers, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, mustard melted cheese on a hero bun. This is a huge sandwich loaded with tender meat with the perfect complement of toppings and sauces. It’ll make you go Mmmm with every bite!

If you’re craving chicken then you definitely need to order the Chicken Shawarma Wrap. It’s a wrap stuffed with savory shawarma chicken, pickles, and garlic sauce. It’s about the size of two baseballs and could definitely be shared or save half for another meal.

Ruben sandwiches are sometimes hard to find on local menus. Well, if a Ruben is what you crave, then look no further than BP Deli & Market! Most places I’ve ordered this iconic sandwich from, offer their own slight spin to make it unique to them. On the BP Deli version you’ve got both corned beef and pastrami, plus sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, thousand island on marble rye bread. This sandwich is heavy on the delicious meats so that they take center stage when chowing down!

For a quick meal, you can choose some fried chicken or a meat with veggies from the hot bar. Their choices change daily so visit their page to see what’s available.

For my plate lunch, I went with the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and fried okra. The sides were good, but the meatloaf was the star of the show! The serving size was huge and each cut was super thick with plenty of ketchup for that traditional flavor.

Yes, this is a gas station / convenience store, but their deli could rival some traditional brick and mortar restaurants! Their kitchen is brand spanking new, they have their meats and cheeses displayed in the meat and cheese cooler out front, and they’ve definitely got some pros in the kitchen putting it all together making the magic happen!
