Hardin’s Country Store and Restaurant @ 1015 Rd 1498, Tupelo, MS. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30am – 8:00pm. #eowjj2023

Located in the Eggville Community, Hardin’s Country Store and Restaurant opened in 1986 and has been family owned and operated for over 35 years. Providing every day necessities to their friends and neighbors. Plus, down home cooking that brings folks in from miles around.

When you first arrive, it just seems like a nice local store where you can fill up your tank, and maybe grab a bottle of pop and some snacks. But what you find inside is so much more!

Yes, you can grab some grub on the go. But once you slow down and take a minute, you’ll find an entire menu of reasons to stay, sit a spell, and enjoy!

I’ve savored many of their mouthwatering menu item over the years. And I’ll tell ya, picking just one or two for this story was a difficult decision on my part. But my daughter and I decided on three that’s a good representation of the level of quality, quantity, and deliciousness you can expect from Hardin’s Country Store and Restaurant.

So on two different occasions, we ordered a breakfast plate, burger, and a salad.

What we ordered:

  • Double Cheeseburger plate with fries
  • Chef Salad
  • Breakfast plate

The double cheeseburger was huge, savory, dripping with melting cheese, and loaded with flavor! Paired with a large pile of crispy hand cut fries, this big old boy was only able to finish about half. But left enough for another delicious meal later!

The Chef Salad was my daughters. And I must say, she chose very well! A beautifully plated pile of fresh lettuce surrounded by carefully chopped and sliced veggies, with an appropriate amount of cheese layered on top to help tie it all together. Then, for extremely good measure, four slices of crispy bacon. It’s like the perfect BLT without the bread!

Now for the breakfast plate, I didn’t even look at the suggested combos on the menu. But I knew exactly what I was craving, and the crew at Hardin’s made it happen! Scrambled eggs, hash brown potato squares, biscuits smothered with white gravy and finely chopped sausage on top, more of there crispy bacon that’s absolute perfection, AND one of their humongous, plate sized pancakes. I ate every bite then sopped up every last drop of gravy and morsel of meats!

Dang y’all, I’m writing this days later, and I just made myself hungry thinking about it! LOL! Among other menu items, they have pizza, taco salads, and much more to choose from.

When dining in, I always like to sit up front where all the action is. But for groups, they have several dining rooms available, and can accommodate small family gatherings to large office parties. They can also provide catering for your special occasions!

From the folks at Hardin’s, “Ever since we started our store, we’re obsessed with providing quality service to our customers. Our business thrives on getting repeat customers. Regardless of your needs, we’re committed to ensuring your full satisfaction.”

Whether you’re a first timer, or long time customer, you’ll feel right at home in Eggville at Hardin’s Country Store and Restaurant. Oh, and be sure to tell them I sent ya! Happy Trails!
