They’re located up front in the North Mississippi Stock Yard building. Other restaurants may “decorate country,” but Outlaws Steakhouse is the real deal!
When you arrive, you’ll find a welcoming front porch that spans the entire length of the building, that seems to go for miles. If you’d like to sit a spell, they have an eclectic mix of seating from antique folding chairs to some made from pallets. So cool!
Don’t forget to glance at the specials board before stepping in. I decided the 14 once ribeye with potato and salad on sale for $22 was too good to pass up, but I still wanted to peruse the menu.
As I scanned through all they offered, I came across several other mouth-watering options that I couldn’t resist! To create the perfect meal, I decided to get creative and add several add-on items.
Menu showcase:
🔥14 once ribeye
🔥whole fried catfish
🔥fried catfish filet
🔥fried shrimp
🔥loaded baked potato
🔥onion rings
🔥one trip salad bar

The compact salad bar is a great beginning to any entrée! It had a beautiful mix of greens, plenty of fresh veggies, hard boiled eggs, some house made salad dressing, and even some hardy potato salad to help curb your appetite while waiting for your freshly prepared meal!
I had both a WOW and Mmmm moment with the Outlaws 14 once ribeye! Seeing one of their biggest steaks for the first time was definitely a WOW moment! It was cut thick with perfect grill marks and glistening from the house marinade.
Immediately after my first bite came that uncontrollable Mmmm! The steak was prepared to a beautifully tender medium, and swimming in a house marinade so scrumptious, they even offer small cups of the tangy nectar for an even deeper delectable flavor!
Both the whole catfish and filet were add-ons. Both had a beautiful layer of breading, perfectly seasoned, and delicious white meat! If you’re wanting to focus more on the catfish, then watch the restaurant’s page for their all you can eat catfish nights!
The fried shrimp were butterflied with a nice hand battered crunch and plenty of tender meat for its size. They are also available grilled. The three I ordered were an add-on, but I could definitely see ordering them as a main course!
When offered I prefer to order loaded potatoes like those from Outlaws. They arrive to your table already split open with bacon bits and cheese already melting. The sour cream and butter are on the side so you can add to your preferred taste.
The hand battered onion rings add a nice zing of onion with a side of crunch to any meal! I believe they would also be a perfect pairing with the half pound burgers I saw on the menu.
DON’T FORGET DESSERT!!! Like most everything else, all the sweet treats are made fresh! My pecan pie was a slice of heaven! It was a unique low profile pie with finely chopped nuts and slightly dense and definitely delicious filling! I was going to just have a bite and take the rest home from later, but before I realized it, I had eaten the whole thing!!! So lesson learned, buy one slice for now and another for later!
