Takimi Ramen Bar is still fairly new to Tupelo and made quit a splash when they opened. Not just for their culinary specialties, but also for employing a robot to help deliver dine in orders to the tables.

Its name is Bella-bot and was quite the celebrity being the first in Tupelo. After watching it in action, I can see its benefits beyond attracting the curious. Once your order is ready, Bella can be loaded with multiple plates, then programmed to proceed to its destination under the watchful eye of your server.

As the name implies, their flagship menu item is fresh Japanese Ramen noodles with a variety of topping combinations to choose from.

Also available is stir fried rice and a variety of starters. They offer some familiar starters like fresh fried oysters, to some not so known locally like Octopus Balls!

A new menu is in the works with even more to choose from, new combo specials are now available, and of course many specialty drinks from beer to Boba teas!

What I ordered:
🔸TOKYO TONKOTSU RAMEN – This was beautifully sculpted, prepared, and plated Roasted Pork Belly, Half Marinated Egg, Bamboo Shoots, Corn, Black Fungus in Bone Broth, Topped with Scallions, and edible seaweed. The ramen was like a mountain hidden just beneath a sea of delicious toppings.

I loved the Marinated egg and all the veggies. It also had several slices of roasted pork for plenty of delicious protein. Mine was one of the simpler versions. There’s plenty more to choose from including Seafood Roman, to a few with extra spice and a hint of fire like the Spicy Miso or Volcano Ramen.

🔸Shrimp Stir Fried Ramen – This one was piled high with plenty of tasty shrimp in the mix. Add a little yum yum sauce or your favorite seasoning and this should satisfy most any appetite! I also got a chicken sandwich as part of a combo, which made a nice little side item to cleanse you palate while enjoying the main course.

🔸Fried Oysters – I was told that they are using fresh oysters for their fried app and I could definitely tell the difference! The breading had a beautiful brown hue and a gentle crunch with each bite. Pair this along with several of their menu options for a tasty seafood sampler!

🔸Brown Sugar Boba Tea – This was another recommendation for me to try and I loved it! It was prepared fresh, sweet, and loaded with deliciously chewy bites of flavor!

🔸Soup Dumplings – These are new and will be listed on the new menu. It’s a very mellow appetizer with the dumpling filled with pork and a soup mix. You can enhance its flavor with their various sauces.

This was a very enjoyable dinner date with my daughter who was home from college for the weekend. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant, with soothing music playing in the background. My server was very knowledgeable and even got a selfie with Bella! Oh, and if you’ve got someone celebrating a birthday, Bella will sing for you!
