Nate’s Steakhouse offers Mississippi farm-raised catfish, chops, shrimp, seafood, and more, but are famous for their award-winning steaks, salad bar, and decadently delicious desserts!

I hadn’t been through Ecru in a while, so when I rolled into downtown, I noticed a lot of “new to me” shops that I’d love to comeback and explore one day soon. But, tonight’s visit is all about steak!

Nate’s steaks are hand cut Creekstone Farms Premium Black Angus grain-fed beef. Raised on lush green pastures and wholesome Mid-Western corn.

It didn’t take me long to decide what to order for my entrée. After a quick look at the menu, I decided on a 20 once hand cut ribeye that was aged for approximately 20 days.

🍰Oreo Cake

I requested my 20-ounce ribeye, cooked medium, and accompanied by a side of Brussel Sprouts, salad, sweet potato, and bread. The steak itself was exceptionally tender and juicy. The house spices used provided a hint of garlic, which added to the overall flavor profile. It was absolutely delicious.

I must commend the chef for creating a masterpiece that exceeded my expectations. From the first bite to the last, this monster of a steak was absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t have been more pleased! Plus, the grilled shrimp ad-on paired perfectly!!

The folks sitting at the table next to mine were regulars, and highly recommend the pork ribeye. They also confided to me, that it was so good, that they’ve asked Nate for its coveted recipe through the years to no avail.

The pork ribeye is a thick cut, tender and juicy, with a slightly sweet and savory flavor. For my taste, the huge sweet potato paired perfectly!

The salad bar is a must-try. It boasts two types of lettuce and a wide selection of toppings that cater to all tastes. The bar is impeccably clean and every item is beautifully prepared and fresh. With several house-made dressings, it’s no surprise that this salad bar has earned local acclaim.

The side of Brussel sprouts I received was not only delicious but also beautifully presented and was cooked to perfection. It was evident that great care had been taken to ensure its visual appeal. As they say, we eat with our eyes first!

My slice of Oreo cake was similar to a Ding Dong cake with fluffy cream filling and rich chocolate topping. Even if you’re stuffed, don’t leave without ordering dessert, you can take it home for later.

At Nate’s Steakhouse you’ll find an award winning menu, gracious hospitality, in a quiet, small town atmosphere. While there, savor the experience and tell the crew at Nate’s I sent you. Happy Trails!!
