Knight’s Drive In Amory has been known for their famous country fried steak sandwich for around 50 years. It is one huge hunk of meat overflowing its bun by a mile! Well…a mile in burger measurements.

During my previous visit, my country fried steak sandwich, fries, and salad was a totally satisfying meal. The little shotgun style restaurant has a down home feel with friendly folks there to make sure you get your fill!

Since my last visit, Knight’s Drive In had a fire with some smoke damage. But I was told that after a couple months, they were back up and running!

For this trip, I wanted to try something different on the menu. I was recently told about the hamburger steak plate and decided to give it a try.

One thing that the hamburger steak and country fried steak have in common is that they are very large! Filling up about half the plate!

For only $8, I got the hamburger steak with grilled onions and gravy, with a side salad and fries. I’ve also included a photo with just onions to give a better view of what hides underneath.
This was one of the best $8 I’ve spent in a looong time! Each bite was perfect. The onions were chopped small and covered with loads of rich brown gravy. Oh,yeah!!!

Knight’s Drive In is located in a small building near the railroad tracks. And if my GPS had not said “you have reached your destination” I would have passed right by. If you’ve never been, you should give them a try!

With food this good at such a great price, let’s all give them a visit and help keep them around for another 50 years!
