Comer’s Restaurant – Catfish plate

Comer’s Restaurant @ 1733 MS – 178 Mantachie, MS (Dorsey).
For lunch, I ordered take out from Comers. The two whole catfish plate with all the trimmings. Notice the fish is kept separate in the paper sack to keep them firm and crisp for the ride home which is a great idea.
The catfish is Mississippi freshwater farm raised in the delta. It’s lightly breaded in cracker meal and fried to a golden brown in their own corn and canola oil blend. Even after a short trip home, the crust still had a slight crispness with tender white meat. The catfish is lightly seasoned so folks can add seasoning to taste.

For this trip I decided to “dress” mine with lemon and…wait for it…their homemade thousand island dressing!
So far, I’ve ate it with their salads, chicken strips, burgers and now catfish. I thought it was a tasty combination. But hey…good food to me is like music, there is enough verity for everyone to enjoy! 😎✌️ #repyohood #eatlocal #eatingoutwithjeffjones  See more LOCAL Favorites and their FAMOUS foods!
