Jimmy’s Burgers and Wings @ 1710 South Gloster Street, Tupelo, MS. Today I’m trying their triple cheeseburger, A1-A fries and Funnel cake. Formally Jimmy’s Seaside Fries in the Mall at Barnes Crossing, I decided to check them out at their new location in front of Walls Bargain Center.
And yes, this is a franchise business, but, owner Rico Gray has made it his own with a new name and new location. He has also added some new items to the menu exclusive to Tupelo including full size burgers, pork sandwiches, chicken sandwiches and bone-in chicken wings.
Speaking of food, the triple cheeseburger is what was calling my name. The patties were fresh, hand made, 100% ground beef, stacked high with three layers of cheese. The meat was tender and juicy. I ordered mine dressed, but it was so good, I would have been satisfied with just the meat and cheese slapped on the bun! I ordered the combo which includes fries and a drink. I upgraded the fries with A1-A toppings for an extra 99 cents. What they do is toss the fries in parmesan cheese, chopped bacon and then top it with garlic aioli sauce which was pretty good. It is very rich, so a little goes a long way. And for desert, funnel cake. What’s not to like…its fried dough smothered in powdered sugar! When checking them out, you can use their drive through or walk up window to order. So stop by and give them a try!
